Treat 'em Mean

Now I know some of you light-in-the-loafer types like to clean and polish and coddle your cars and wrap them in fluffy stuff and that's fine. But you're wrong I tell you, wrong. And here's why.
If you spoil them they come to expect it. I'm not saying abuse your car but treat it like a rough-haired dog. Scruff its ears, pull its tail and take it out for mudbaths and the like and you'll have just as much fun with a lot less hassle. Six months ago the boot button started acting up. Bought a new solenoid, never fitted it and the button's now working fine. About the same time the driver's window started acting odd, wouldn't go back up automatically after closing. Drove the car after a fortnight's break today (none of that Accumate poofy stuff, fired first go) and the window's self cured thereby saving me the cost of a new ecu.
It's cooling and ticking on the drive now, still spattered with mud from the campsite at Le Mans several weeks ago. Think I'll call it a few names as I mow the front lawn later, remind it who's boss.

I totally agree, I think most people on here would batter me with a shovel if they knew how mean I treated my lovely lady, but she's never answered back. My pimp hand is strong.
Mind tbh I think the main difference is she's out every day twice a day in all weather. I even ran her up and down the length of UK from Brussels last winter, fully loaded up, which probably helped actually. And I've cleaned her about 6 times in 3 years. Well, had someone else do it.
