I think if I'd seen your motor parked up I would have photographed it too, very eccentric!

Yeah, you have to be pretty mad to be seen in one of them. They're not great for shy people it must be said. Still, that BMW is just outstandingly beautiful.

It's typical of most cars outside Halfords, I mean just look at it!. It's a BMW covered in plastic spoilers and splitters with a big look at Me rear wing, chrome arches and how many BMW bages?, p-leeaase!. Factory Barry or what? (sorry, wrong site!).

I am of course kidding!, I would love to own one of those! cloud9

Sorry, am I missing something? Wouldn't be caught dead in it and seeing it in a Halfords' car park would just roll my eyes rolleyes Typical of what I expect to see there.

Looks like scensoredt.

Is it just me?

That's Swindon Halfords isn't it? I saw it parked in Marlborough high Street a few weeks ago too.

I honestly don't know much about them but they have a racing pedigree and are worth a shed load.

yes, It's an original 3.0 E9 CSL. I think they are worth in the region of £30-£40k dependant on condition and history.

E9 CSL's are wonderful cars.....but have major fuel pump problems and sadly too many seem to catch fire after long storage periods. Beautiful sound, great to drive and a truly classic look and pedigree!!

I suspect our friend above doesn't know what a CSL Batmobile is, and thinks someone has 'chavved' up an old BMW.

I sure hope he is..... eek

I have seen CSL's up for in excess of £50k...... lovely, lovely cars. I used to compete in sprints 20 odd years ago against a guy that used one, a mint black one it was......gorgeous to look at, gorgeous to listen to on full chat.

BMW made a few with lots of aluminium panels, they’re serious money. They also made lots more with just a few alloy bits, more a roadgoing version. I think the one in the photo is the road car?

As he was in Halfords, I wonder if he was shopping for some LED washer jets wink
