Just my $0.02 on x-box, but having played nearly all the release titles on a dev box (I used to work in the games industry) there are two stand out x-box games -halo and munch's oddesy.

Save your cash and play GT on PS2. Project gotham on the x-box is just MSR from the Dreamcast, with boring cars and a dumb scoring system that is nothing to do with driving fast!
