Looking for some help if it's available.

I'm trying to connect my Eos 20D to my new(ish) lap-top running Windows 7, but the comp won't recognise the camera. I've tried to search for any updated drivers but can't find any.

I don't have a CF card reader.

So am I stuck till Windows/Canon get a driver sorted, or I buy a card reader?

What about the software on the CD that comes with the camera. Does that have something suitable?

It's an old camera.

Buy a card reader... much quicker than using the camera connection anyway.

No, camera and software CD is older than windows 7, so doesn't support it.
Checked on Canon website but they don't have a driver for Win7 - eos 20D.

Was just wondering if there was any other way of transfering the photos.

Isn't there a setting on your camera to change it to a MASS STORAGE MODE?
This way camera acts as a card reader only and shouldn't need any drivers.

Had the same problem when i upgraded to win 7.

Pres menu, scroll to 'communication' and select 'PTP' instead of 'normal'. That should solve it.
