Canon 550d Remote lens view

[andrewrob]

Does anyone know if its possible to use the composite out on these for a live view of what the lens is capturing?

Thanks

Yes; you can point it at the TV screen and bring back all those 80's Top of the Pops memories

plug it in to a pc, download the canon utility or "Remotepro" and you can do it.

The reason I need it over composite is because it will be underneath an RC helicopter so I need a live feed to transmit back to the ground so I can see which way the camera is pointing.

Very impressive! Think I'm a long way from ever getting that far, I'm starting off very small. :-)
