Apart from Ebay, gumtree, are there any trading sites for used equipment?

Thanks

Nikonians?

Probably some parallel universe for the Canon-istas, I suppose.

London Camera Exchange Sometimes good prices, but other times seem very pricey on bizarre stuff.

There is another really good place with a peculiar name but I can't remember at the moment!
It's driving me insane!!

If you're happy buying from other enthusiasts, then I have bought and sold lots via AVForums and Talk Photography. Never had any problems and all the kit I've bought has been well looked after (as you would expect from genuine enthusiasts), but at substantially lower prices than buying new.

www.mifsuds.co.uk - Based in Brixham but will mail order. Well respected and long running business.
www.mpbphotographic.co.uk - Small independent trader based on the South coast, possibly Bournemouth. Has a quite rapid turnover of stock and is happy to take requests.

I've bought a couple of lens from Mifsuds, (one just this last weekend!) great service and knowledge. Recommended.

...and they have just doubled the size of the shop so you can actually get in it now!

My dealings to date with MPB...

Sold - 20D & Grip, 100-400L, 28-135 IS.

Bought. 7D (New), Sigma 500 f4.5 EX(Bargain!), Canon 85 f1.8.

In excess of £4K worth of business and not a bad word to say about them. I've also bought a Canon 200 f2.8L from http://www.camtechuk.com/ and have nothing but praise for them too.

Just about everything at this rate, I got into this expensive hobby and finding my way around my entry level equipment, I am discovering daily how limited it is and researching what parts need upgrading and the costs.

Everyone has 2/3 favourite shops they stick with for life, I am looking for mine smile
