I've currently got an old combi boiler, than I imagine will need more money chucked at it soon.

If I decided to go with a hot water tank and header tank, so I can also have a power shower pump installed. What are the costs?

It'll need to go into the loft, from the kitchen.

If you're going for a hot water tank and have good water mains pressure close to the shower then you may not need a pump based power shower - you may be able to use a venturi based shower.

I've got one (trevi boost) and it works an absolute treat. Best thing about it (other than the resultant shower) was that I didn't need to have an electrics put in to power it (or a pump).

(Just a random suggestion)

Having done exactly this, I personally would recommend instead of getting a vented system plus a pumped unit, you go for an unvented system and bypass the need for the pump!!!

Can't really comment on cost as I did most of it myself, so only cost about £1500 to do a pumped system, they're just so bloody noisy even if you get a high end one like I did.
