Where have you spotted this happening - certainly not current F1.

yep gotta agree, huge amounts of car control needed, even a car thats easy to drift, equivelant to a quick F1 car maybe, (did that make sence) needs a top quality driver to control it, when it works, it is great to watch.

Availible to anyone with a rwd car as well. Top fun!

Like rallying on tarmac, sort of,

Or, as Pentti Riekkola (sp?) demonstrated at the Autocar Sideways Challenge - a 150K mile FWD Ford Mondeo.

Yep gotta agree it's bloomin good fun to watch & an absolute hoot if you have a RWD car & a spare airfield.

I'll be going to the Essex drift day on the 22nd & I have sent my entry off for the Options Drift Competition too at Siversone.

For those who've no idea what we're on about it's a cross between gravel rallying tecnhiques & slalom, but all on tarmac.

Penti Arikkala thought it was huge fun & yes just about everyone can have a go. Grass roots motorsport is going to get interesting this year at last.

It might be two t's in Penti though, I can't read his signature very well. It's on my wall in front of me I've been trying to decipher it for weeks.
