Scott switches to Morgan

Aaron Scott leaves the Ultima behind to try his hand at an Aero 8

British GT driver Aaron Scott will team up with Keith Ahlers to drive the Lewis Racing run Morgan Aero 8 in this year's British GT cup Championship.

The car, which finished third in GT Cup in last year's championship has been developed over the winter and will be run by Lewis Racing, the team operated by experienced Morgan racer and engineer Rob Wells. Wells drove the car last season and is regarded as one of the leading Morgan specialists.

Scott, who raced in the Master Motorsport-run GTO specification Ultima in 2003, is no stranger to the Morgan having driven a similar car to third place in last years Spa 1000km race.

Aaron brings backing from Omnico Plastics, Aerospace Fasteners, Building Environmental Services and Livespace in 2004 and the team is seeking more commercial partners for its campaign.

Aaron said, " I am looking forward to the season ahead and excited about our prospects. Keith will be a good team-mate and we hope to be winning races. "

Ahlers is a stalwart Morgan enthusiast having scored many victories within the 750MC Roadgoing Sports Car Championship and was part of the Morgan team that tackled last year's Bathurst 24 Hours.
