this kippers by post thing, anyone used it. never had any for years and i dont fancy those prepacked things from a supermarket.

Not done the 'post' thing myself. But lucky enough to live on the Yorkshire Coast. DO you not have a fishmonger anywhere ?
The key thing is that proper kippers are nothing like the rubbish in the supermarket - worth every penny.

Never eaten any that have been posted myself, as I just go down the road to get them
