I think I owe an apology to Fanatec... ;)

A few of you might remember that I was one of the people that pre-ordered a Fanatec Porsche Turbo Wheel S - and waited about a year for it to arrive. Once it arrived, I thought it was a bag of poo, and sent it back. It had many issues from a huge deadzone, to a wobbly badly made feel, and generally not worth the €400 price.

Anyway, they refunded me and it's been about six months since then..

I got the itch for a new wheel again. I looked at the G27, the Fanatec PWTS (again), a fanatec GT3RS, as well as a few other lesser known wheels. I settled for the GT3RS, as I am a sucker for the design and alcantara feel! - see here. http://fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=230&lang=e...

Anyway, it's like night and day. I can only presume my previous fanatec wheel was one of a bad batch or someting, as the new wheel feels totally tight and well built. It's quiet, and feels so much more like a steering wheel than my G25.

All in all, fantastic!

Although, saying all of that, I am consistently 2 seconds a lap slower in iRacing than with the G25.

Check your pedal calibration.

Nooooooo, you need to get the club sport pedals, they have just released a beta on Iracing for the pedal feedback for breaking/locking up etc!

In all seriousness though, If you consider getting rid of the G25 can you give me a heads up with price etc? The GT5 one is good, but i only bought it as i couldnt get hold of / didnt want to go through ebay for a G25.
