What would you do? Extension ideas?

What would you do to the ground floor, layout wise?

The kitchen and conservatory back onto the rear garden, good views 'could' be had from the utility room!

Let's say a budget of £50k

I'd want to make the kitchen bigger, and make a decent sized garden room (in lieu of the conservatory) what about the location of the toilet?

Any ideas would be great.

Which is the front door - the porch into the kitchen, the one into the study or the one into the lounge? Trying to have a proper entrance would be on my list of things to do.

The front door leads directly into the lounge, I doubt it will ever be used.

I think the rear 'porch' is the commonly used entrance at the moment, although the study is next to the driveway, that's where i'd have the entrance 'hall'.

Maybe but since he's looking to ditch the conservatory I' put the garage there and see if you can make it a four car one or twin with a good workshop at the rear, with loft space.

There's already a barn and workshop the other side of the house, with a double garage to be added.

For the kitchen conservatory you could get some smart sliding door type things

Obviously put a bit more than just the bog in were the utility was, perhaps a downstairs shower?

The garage can also be a utility?
