Xbox 360 - 140 good deal or wait for new one?

Local big electronics retailer has Xbox 360 package for $299 or about £140 gbp (I'm in Oz). It comes with 2 games - Halo 3 ODST and Forza 3. Linky here: http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/microsoft/x-box/360...

Is it a good deal or do i wait for the new 250gb Xbox?

For note i have a PS3 already, and also i'm not on the net via wifi at home (use USB Internet on my home laptop) so not sure if that will affect the point in getting it, or limits the benefits of those games.

Whats the view? Seems pretty good deal to me.

Looks like a good deal to me.
Unless you're desperate for the slimmer console (I have the Elite you linked to and am certainly not interested in upgrading) and bigger HD I would go for that.

If you wait until the new one is released there may be some price cuts on the way.

I wouldn't buy a 360 until the slim one is in the shops.

Good call. Dont know much about the 360 slim, but I like the modular aspect of the standard 360. If I have run out of HDD space I just clamp on a bigger one, dont think you can do that witht eh slim.

Looks very good to me, a mate just bought an Elite for £160 with no games and 1 controller which I thought was half descent.

It comes with 250gb though, I can't imagine a bigger one would ever be needed.
