Hello all
just heard today that we have got our planning permission (extension and some internal stuff). What happens now? Am I right in thinking that the architect now does detailed drawings so that we can get a quote from builders? Oh I am so excited!!! bounce

Yes, the architect should go out to tender to at least 3/4 builders to get the best quote. Make sure you ask for the breakdown of the lowest two quotes. that way you can make sure everything has been accounted for early on.

Depends what you've instructed them to do. Have they not sat down and talked through the process with you? Backed up with a detailed Fee Proposal?

Party Wall Notices served - if required.

Building Control Submission next.

Builder's quotes soon after/alongside.
