Evening all,
Thought it was about time I got chatting with all you lovely people on the forum, so here's my first post! Just an introduction really - I'm Simon and recently bought myself a 1990 S3 from David Gerald down in Warwick (excellent team down there), my first ever TVR after years and years of wanting one
Credit where it's due - this forum was a big help with respect to picking up buying tips and all sorts of other things to look out for with these fantastic machines, so thanks to you guys already and, hopefully, I've bagged myself a great little TVR! (I haven't stop smiling since I picked her up 2 weeks ago).
Anyway, I've joined the TVRCC and hope to get along to some events very soon and meet a few of you like-minded people face-to-face - I'm oop north in Preston, Lancashire so I'm sure there are plenty of you nearby (saw a nice Wedge out yesterday in the sunshine, and not 5 mins later exchanged a wave with a bloke in a dark blue Chim).
Being only half an hour or so from Blackpool, I did the decent thing today and, despite the weather, took the old girl back home to Bristol Avenue. So here we are, me and the S' parked outside the factory gates she left 20 years ago.....

There will be free camping - if you drive to the exhibitors gate you and the car get in free - if you have a passenger they will have to pay the entry fee (£10). If you camp overnight your passenger will have to pay for both days if you are there saturday & sunday (no charge for friday).
I won't be camping I only live 20 mins away.
On the Sunday there is a pre 80's TVR Car Club meeting at Newark Air Museum which is literally the other side of the road to the kit car show, so plenty of choice!
Nice looking car, and this is a very friendly forum ask as many questions as you like.

Welcome to the forum and more importantly to TVR S ownership. You've made a decsion that if my experience is anything to go by you most certainly won't regret.
There is a fantastic bunch of helpful and knowledgeable people on this forum who are quick to help, advise or for that matter sympathise. So any problems or questions this is the right place.
Great colour combination by the way, not that I'm biased

Thanks ever so much for the warm welcome, I'm already starting to feel part of the family!
Great to hear there are a few S owners nearby in the Yorks region too - you boys have some cracking roads over that way. Hoping to drive some of them myself whilst the weather's good, maybe even do the coast-to-coast run.
Thanks also for the invite to Newark, but I'll have to politely decline (already booked in for a friend's birthday on Saturday). Shame too as it sounds like my sort of show, and I am partial to a bit of camping!
As mentioned, I've already picked up some great advice from the guys and gals on here and, hopefully, I can start to give something back as I begin to learn from the experiences of working on my S!! (already had the spanners out numerous times )
