Chipped wheel

After 4 hours washing, polishing and waxing the car I've noticed there are a couple of deep scratches on one of my wheels. They looks like kerbing marks, but aren't as I'm so paranoid about parking 20 feet from the kerb!! So I guess they are from a stone or something, anyway what is the best thing to put on them to protect the metal underneath.

My wheels are anthracite spiders and the powdercoating had chipped. Should I paint the exposed metal or something else?

I maybe wrong! but I have some marks that look like chips on my powder coated wheels which is where the Alloy underneath has corroded and blown the paint, but without seeing pictures cant be sure

Well I can't post pics at the moment but I the metal underneath looks really shiny and new, I think it's just a very bad stone chip or similar.

I just wondered what the best protection is for them? WD40? Touch up paint?

Personally I would get down to Halfrauds and buy a pot of touch up paint as close to the wheel colour as I could get. At least that way the metal is protected and you minimise the risk of rain ingress which could eventually lead to lifting of the lacquer on the wheel and making the current damage worse.
