if you had the money.....

Maserati 3200 or 4200 coupe. If I can fit in the back comfortably (and I'm 6" 1 tall) then anyone can.
Had a ride in Benno's 456GT and that wasn't quite as roomy but it was miles bigger than the Aston which is Cerbera-like in the back.
Cant really think of many top notch cars that have useable adult rear seats which is what makes the Maser pretty unique.

remember, the seats in the back only need to carry small children ocasionally, and more importantly, simply need to be there so that the wife will agree that it is a 'sensible' purchase.....so don't get hung up on their actual useage.
Hung up? I dont get you....
Just saying IMO that the most useable 2+2 on the market is the Maser.
Check Bennnos profile and you will understand that even WITH the money running a Ferrari 456 is VERY expensive....the guy who owned his one before him lost £130,000 in five years not including running costs and one service that cost over £8,000!!!

Believe me it was awesome, but I took Ben to pick it up and the things I heard in the dealership put me off a 456 for life. Like £40K for a new engine, £20K for a bonnet etc. and the worst one was the door window seals, these have been known to incur a £7k bill.....don't ask me how.
I would stuff the rear seat thing and buy a 550 Marranello, after all if money was no object you would buy a nice saloon anyway surely?

Aston Vanquish with the full Linn treatment but it would be close with Ferrari Scag thingy.
Do they ever intend to make a Vanquish Vantage with manual gearbox?
edited to add obviously i'm that rich Ive bought a GT3 and a Ruf R turbo which is why I didnt go for the Porsche.

Steve's right Ross, you can't even get children in the back seats of a Vanquish; if you could, I might well have traded the 456 for one. It's just ridiculous, and your wife will see right through it.
Depends whether you're talking everyday or occasional use. Maser makes a great deal of sense as a daily driver with a huge amount of style; 456 for power and sense of occasion.
A mate of mine is scoping out the Qporte. He really likes it, and since he has gone through a 360 Modena, 456M GT and currently has a Stradale, I'm staying the hell away from it for the moment, just in case I have a 'weak' moment.

Kev. but it looks stunning and there is 3 year servicing and warrenty on it you know it makes sence.
Would be a perfect acompanyment to the other Italians in the stable
Bet you could even get em to paint a stripe down it
so far we have 4 for the vanquish, one for the 456 and a few devoted maser fans (but that doesn't count because i did not offer it as one of the choices guys). just to be absolutley clear - i don't give a damn whether or not somebody (anybody whatever size) can ever fit in the back seats- they just need to be there so that i can act like i might at some vague point in the distant future be able to squeeze the kids in for the school run if the wife broke both her legs and arms and was indisposed for a few days !!!!!

F 412 or Qporte looks 'normal' can carry 4 adults from top to toe. Bentley is too bling, others are 2+kids . . . Are the new Masi's big enough? consider big Mercs, 7-series . . . Or do they run to cheap . . . Jenssen Interceptor, Facel Vega were great family cars with oomph. I have the Facel. Time for a 200x version since retro is the modern thing to do.
