For those that have an interest in these things, the results of
a few upgrades over the last 18 eighteen months


Feb 2009 Standard Griffith 500 - no mods (Torque of the devil)
- 267bhp 297 Lbs/ft estimated @ Flywheel

Feb 2009 Griffith 500 (Torque of the Devil)
ACT Smooth Bore, Bosch AFM, Red top injectors, MA Chip
- 287 Bhp 320 Lbs/ft estimated @ Flywheel

June 2010 Griffith 500 - TVR power
Stealth Cam
ACT Carbon Trumpets
Pre-cat removed
72mm Plenum
- 275 Bhp 309 Lbs/Ft measured at the Wheels
- 322 Bhp & 363 Lbs/Ft @ Fly wheel with estimated 15% drive train loss (Dom's guess)


Does it feel quicker , yes

Are there any down sides , yes , Cost cira £4000 , a little shunt around 1700 rpm due to
cam over lap and carbon trumpets

So a nice fresh cam & some decent lungs can make a big difference to a stock 500.

Looking forward to July 5th even more now!!
Minus the cam, I'm having exactly those mods done to mine, 72mm plenum and Bosch afm and fuel pressure reg. Carbon trumpets, MA tornado chip and precats removed etc. Will be interesting to see the outcome at The Growl. The car made 280 last year with just the smooth elbow and afm to filter pipes.

Have you had the car set up by MA or Dom on the rollers aswell or is that plug and play power ?

TVR power had an interesting Chimera with a speed six transplant ?
