Oh dear, what happened? No alternator?


FWIW - changing the 2 auxilliary belts is an ideal job for someone who wants to 'have a go' at some home mechanicing and doesnt really know how to start - its cheap, easy and there easily accesible.

funny you should say that.

Missus phoned me up the other morning to say she was on the hardshoulder waiting for the RAC.
The was a bang, then the temp started rising, so pulled over.

Turned out the bolt that tensions the belt had sheared and the bracket had fallen down into the plastic undertray. fitted a new bolt and she was on her way.

when she first called i was envisioning the Cambelt had gone...
