I thought it was up to 1.22 the other week? Generally good news anyway as I'm off to Germany on thursday.

Nope, this is a 12 month high - probably something like 2.5 years since we had this level...

Happy days!

I've been following this rate for some time (I earn sterling and spend euros). It's like watching two cripples wrestle as they sink to the bottom of a huge pond.

That long already? I hope that it doesn't go too much higher as my new job is paid in Euros!

Pity its not the USD!
Probably due to UK Manufacturing results plus the shoddy abortion called the Euro stability and growth pact.

fk.

We sell loads in to Europe. I'll have to put our prices up, the customers won't like it.

We've had a blast for the past couple of years though, so shouldn't complain too much.

One man's poison is another man's medicine.

I'm in the other camp (selling EU goods to UK) and have had to put my prices up for the last couple of years, frankly I could do with a bit of a respite (sorry and all that). Still got some way to go to get back to where it 'should' be though...
