Went around Winchester taking pics today (took 50 or so) got to the in-laws, popped my CF card into my father in laws PC, saw about 3 images, then launched Picasi to take the images off on to his pc. At no point was I prompted or advised that any images are to be removed, but now I appear to have lost all of today's images (including the three I saw when I first popped the card in).. have tried an app that recovers lost deleted images, and nothing came back, I am gutted as I think I took some reasonable images. I tested the card by taking another image after the problems, and it is still there... any ideas?

Images still on F-i-L's PC? If so copy then from there. Or try recovery from there.

Seems odd that you can find nothing though.

Nope... two or three of them flashed up briefly, but could not get them back after that.

Call me old fashioned but I still fail to understand why anyone needs special software to move images from card to PC. It's just an extra step to download, an extra step to learn and an extra step to go wrong.

Download "EASEUS deleted file recovery"

http://www.easeus.com/product.htm

and scan the memory card. Worked a treat when I accidently deleted about 1000 photos from my HD!!
