I decided I wanted to make a monster, inspired by EVOs 'Veyrog' project, so I bought myself a white mk2 TT and swapped the 3.2 for a bored (3.0) version of the old RS4s Bi-Turbo 2.7, it's got 730bhp and will hit 60 in 2.5secs, trouble is, it won't stop, or turn, it's got Race-spec everything, (no cage) but the brakes are crap and it understeers like a bh. Anyone got any ideas for remedying this?

Hi

http://www.forzatraders.com/flash/ForzaMotorsport3...

Try using this. Its good for getting a basic setup, then start playing from there. I am only just starting to figure out my own tunes.

it's gonna handle bad whatever!. putting the [ugly] forza aero with full downforce will help keep it stable at speed, but you just have to accept its a lot of power for a car with relatively skinny tyres!. maybe a little softer on the springs and damping and reducing the % on the rear diff to 35or45 will make it a little less tail happy in the corners, but you just have to treat it carefully in the corners!

Thanks, has made the TT more tail happy which was desperately needed, brakes are still shocking, but the car is a right laugh around Fujimi Kaido, sideways almost the entire time!

ETA: Gonna try tame Frankenstein's Supra using this too, I'd like it to go straight some of the time...

Shift the brake balance to the rear one or two percent, should make it a lot better under braking. You are sort of screwed with so much weight in the front of the car really.

I bought a Supra RZ TT, gave it every performance mod but decided to stick with standard tyres, it basically couldn't go in a straight line, and now I've sorted the handling it will, some times. 1st 2nd and 3rd gears are pointless, 4th will spin sometimes, fantastic fun on the Nordschleife, stupidly fast when it grips but getting it up to speed takes some work. I call it Frankenstein's Supra because I built it and thus should love it, but I hated it because it was useless because if it were real it'd be trying to kill me biggrin

Noo, it's a twin, but as soon as boost arrives, hell breaks loose!

Frankenstein IS the Doctor wink, and you're right, but it's like where the monster tries to play with the girl and ends up drowning her etc, it's like that, it's big, powerful, crazy and lacking in finesse etc because that's how I built it biggrin

This thread has gone weird laugh

Hi Tom,

With regards to a high-powered Supra (and any insanely powerful RWD car for that matter), make sure you have the 2-way Limited Slip Diff installed and tweak it so that on acceleration it locks quite early. This should help you get more power down on the exit of corners.

Another thing you can try is to increase the final drive ratio - short gearing in the first 3 gears will just encourage silly amounts of wheelspin, which of course means wasting the power the motor's making. If you lengthen the gearing, you'll be able to turn more of the engine's power into acceleration at higher speeds.

With regards to driving the car: If it's a turbocharged engine and you want to get off the line smoothly, keep the revs below the spool-up point until you know you've got enough traction to use full power. Short-shift if you need to and only use full power (throttle travel) when you've got the car pointing in a straight line. Otherwise, you'll be sawing at the steering like this: driving lol!

I've built a Mk1 Golf with the R36 engine and AWD - completely nose-heavy, and a handful since it's as near as dammit 700bhp. Looks cool though, Gulf livery.
