It's the latest safety concept car from Volvo incorporating the Keep Your Distance, Airbag and Restraint Free Safety Steering Wheel.

But it might be a boat.

At first i thought English and something like an old Vanguard, but after reading "Gasoline" and "windshield" it apears to be American ,although it looks too small... maybe an Old chevy,Ford or buick.

DoH!!smacks forehead

could be a studebaker, the centre of the steering wheel and the chrome inner ring sometimes these copy the emblem on the outside.

Theyve got a good mixture of cars there ,SS Chevelle,Zepher and a Hillman Minx??

The bullet shape of the centre hub of the steering wheel means it's one of the aviation inspired 1950's yank tanks.

Chevrolet 1955-1957 model?

Just spotted on the bonnet a small chrome tab sticking up under the word Zepher that would be like the end of the wing tip of a chrome plane on a Tri Chevy bonnet??

It's a '57 Chevy Bel Air
Look at what you can see of the outside of the door - you can see where the two-tone white 'fantail' splits off into the rear fins.

That and the Tri-Chevy crown across the 'vee' on the wheel - Caddys of this era had a more severe 'V' shape, and leather everywhere, rather than bakelite, vinyl and tin.

I thought it was as I'm sure that's a plane tailfin chrome bonnet feature you can see.

But this is the interior of a 57 Bel-Air Chevy, different steering wheel, instruments too.

Car Zee, getting all the zingers in before I invade England

It's definately a Yank Tank, though I'm not sure which one. I'll do a little research and consult an expert friend of mine and see if I can get you an answer.

I've just about nailed it down as a 1955 Chevy Nomad. Just confirming it for myself, and will post a piccy...

Update:

Yep, it is. Some piccies of one for sale in New Jersey:

And a rear view of another one. It's a station wagon, BTW (think you call them estate cars.)
