I recently received an email offering a year subscription to Nikon Owner Magazine for £59. Besides the magazine itself they seem to offer the below.

Has anyone had a subscription and what was their opinion of it please?

The substantial discounts on events and training sessions sounds interesting, along with the complimentary meetings and outings organized by local Nikon Owners Groups.

This is run by Gray's wife. It's certainly worth it if you intend to buy a bunch of equipment (from Grays), the mag is pretty good, but I never renewed my subscription.

'Nikon Owner Grand Christmas Dinner at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London.'

So all you have to do is eat £59-worth of food and drink and you're even biggrin

Only worth it if you're buying kit from them and so looking for the extra warranty. Whilst the mag is a nice glossy production it's not something I would pay for if it was for sale in a newsagent. I ended up not renewing way way back but soemhow the occasional copy still gets posted to me.

The 10% on Think Tank gear is good though. If you are looking for bags / carrying solutinos it is really fantastic stuff, well built and takes the punishment easily

Thanks folks. I've sadly no need for new kit so at best I'd miss out on the extended warranties and at worst it would be the worlds poorest excuse for switching to FX - which would increase the costs of the yearly subscription by some way beyond £59!!!

Think I will give it a miss and add the £59 to my beer money for when I just wander around London with the camera.

Cheers
Matt
