Video: Mentalism On A Dubai Motorway

How not to drive in rush hour

Two UAE nationals in their 20s have been arrested by Dubai police after videos of them performing donuts, drifts, and two-wheeled driving stunts were uploaded to YouTube.

The two men were identified and tracked down by the authorities after their registration plates were caught in full view in the YouTube clips.

It might not exactly be responsible behaviour, but the gents' antics really do make astonishing viewing. Two-wheeled driving and drifting a Toyota pick-up can't be the most natural things to do at the best of times; on a busy Dubai motorway it seems positively insane.

If convicted, the two drivers now face up to three years in prison.

And the moral of the story? If you want to perform frankly lunatic stunts, go find an empty, private stretch of Tarmac. Failing that, don't upload what you do to the internet...

And of course we needn't say don't try this at home. We don't want to be held responsible for reports of two-wheeled driving on the M25 at rush hour. Mind you, it might alleviate the boredom of the roadworks on the northern section...

The world would be a boring place without a few mentalists.

Presumably that'd be punishable by death in Australia?

Will have to check these out when I get home, but when I was in Dubai I did see a couple of nutter drifting across roundabouts like something out of Need For Speed with no way they could have controlled it if someone had dared to be in there way.

There are loads of these type of videos on youtube. One in particular of a white Carrera gt and a black M5 drifting in tandem through heavy traffic in Dubai.

Oh and drifting a Toyota pick-up is surprisingly easy, just don't expect the rear leaf springs to last long!

Absolute genius. Love everyone popping up out of the sunroof to film them and give them the thumbs up.

Not dangerous?!

You try driving down the M1 on 2 wheels and see if you get done for dangerous driving.

I do not see a problem as, they did not appear to be breaking any speed limits so, it must be OK!

How did he get it up onto two wheels? In stunt shows they normally use a ramp don't they?

The Police said in the paper that this is an isolated incident and not representative of Emirati youth.

What a load of bks, they're all irresponsible bds on the roads.
