Evening All

New to this section, and i'm looking for some guidance as to weather it's time to bin my old Sony DSC-W50. I've had this camera for a good few years and it's been great, taking clear sharp snaps with good bold colours, nothing amazing but good steady amature snaps...

Recently though images in anything other than bright sunshine have lost their sharpness with grainy images and dull colours.

Is this something on the settings, something that needs cleaning / replacing, or is it time to chuck it away and buy a replacement. Any thoughts?

Might be time to check the menu settings and possibly restore to default?

Start by resetting everything and see if you've still got the problem

Have you tried cleaning the lens?

If you really don't want to get rid it may be worth popping in to a local camera dealer and asking them to clean the lens/sensor. (if that is possible on a compact? I presume it is)

Thanks guys, i'll try the 'reset' option.

I have cleaned the lens, and that wasn't too bad, hence the clarity in good light, but genuinely appreciate the feedback.

Cheers
