Leighton Buzzard Fun Run III: Turkey Regurgitated.
Discussion
OK, so due to popular demand, we'll still do a run in the 14th of March. The orignal plan was a route out to the west, but due to my workload, I've been unable to recce anything. So we're going to follow the same route as the "turkey workout" run held over christmas.
We will still hold a run April / May time using the route to the west which is still under construction
The confirmed route is here (thanks to Darren - FWD - for not deleteing the route!!!).
The date is Sunday March 14th
The time is 10.30 for 11:00 departure (took us about ninety-minutes the last time). Please make sure you have plenty of optimax before turning up
The start is here We'll start at the carpark 'p' that is next to the A4146 marker. Entrance is off hockliffe street (Carpark behind library if you know L-B)
The finish is here"The Grove Lock" which everyone seems to like.
If you don't want to do the run, join us at the Pub anyway. We'll aim to be there sometime after noon depending on the A41 speeds . The pub manager recommended we arrive early, and is looking forward to seeing more Tivs than the last time, so Come on down You know you want to!
Important Notes:
1) We may shorten or completely can the run depending on the weather on the day. Hopefully it will be a crisp clear sunny day (like the last time), but trying to follow a route in the pouring rain isn't anyone's idea of fun!
2) I will be in the MGB. On the A41, those who want to "give it large" are more than welcome to do so ( permitting). I'll be pottering along as best possible. I propose that we all regroup after we leave the A41 near Bourne End
3) Remember before any overtaking that we will be filming the run. The resulting footage may lead to some amusement at a later stage

hmm, the 14th is almost certainly a no for me... going to be helping Buff move that weekend that involves driving around most of the country...
this is a shame as i enjoyed the run last time and it was a good mix of roads!!!
a double shame as i should have my adjustable spax fitted by wednesday so no fear through the bends!!!
ah well, i will definately try and make the 25th of april...

Nothing like a blast out in the fresh air to clear a dodgy head!
Was thinking more in terms of being sober enough to drive. If you work on 2 hours to clear each unit of alcohol (and one glass of wine = 1.5 - 2 units), you don't have to have that much to still fail a breathalyser the following lunchtime.
