Its also for the drivers entertainment when you take a person out who has not been in a Chimaera before, you stop the car, they try to get out.. Blank faces....No door handle ?? Sad, but fun.....

It is also designed to confuse wives, who are occasionally of fair looks but limited intelligence.

Should you posess one of these gentle creatures, you may find that she struggles with said appendage. My own fair sweetheart has trouble with knobs of all sorts, but this one confuses her more than most. Despite the fact that she has been in the car almost as many times as me, she still cannot grasp the theory of 'turn the knob towards you'. My door pops open every time she touches this finely machined silver item.

All the more reason why she must not be allowed to drive the car herself. I can just see the passenger door being ripped off by a passing car as she pops it open into a busy thoroughfare whilst out buying pie ingredients.

James ... I did of course on my departure on Sunday place full Pistonheads gassing access instructions through your letterbox for your other half!

Mike - she can't read.

Actually she was a bit frightened by a fellow TVR freak coming to the house. She once had rather a bad experience with a wild-eyed enthusiast at an Alfa day we once went to. Have to say that he also scared the hell out of me... His wife looked more like a man than he did.

However, she did remark that she was pleasantly surprised that you didn't have a beard, and at no time during your visit did you smoke a pipe!!
