Was heading up the hill out of Langrish and met a queue. At the top of the hill were 2 ambulances and a few cars an bikes parked up. I noticed a yellow bike in the hedge/around a sign.

Hope it wasn't as bad as it looked, really dampened my drive after seeing it, just hope the ambulances were precautionary.

Hi
I was around there at 10.30 - 11.00 on Sunday.
I seen the bike by the side of the road (suzuki - trashed) but no sign of anything else.
Hope the guy is OK.

It happened Saturday, just before 13:00 I'd say.

Surprised the bike was still there when you saw it.

I know this is slightly off topic, but whilst out and about yesterday I was horrified at the number of bikers in shorts and a 'T' shirt. There was one lass on the back of a big sports bike going down the A280 like that, with the fella wearing full leathers... Mad.

They are nuts. I'm too dangerous to ride a bike anyway but if I ever did it'd be full leathers.

Sometimes go for a blat and my brother-in-law rides his bike - what a nightmare. Takes him 20 minutes to get 'leathered' up. I could be half way anywhere by then hehe

I have to say it always seems to be a certain sort of person that rides a sports bike in a t shirt. Saw some bloke riding an R6 in one yesterday and he def fitted the criteria!

Saw one yesterday wearing just shorts, vest, trainers and lid. Didn't even have gloves on!

Our littl'n (4yr old) slid to a stop on our driveway using only hands and knees on Friday... It's made bit of a pickle of her skin. So 60mph really wouldn't be very nice to witness, let alone do.

Second that sighting this morning it was still there at 9:30am as i passed through.

I had to take a second look as at first it looks like someone flytipped a load of junk, exhaust gives it away though . its on the right hand side as you drop down the valley twists into Langrish

Ouch!!!

Must have moved it then unless as I suspected there were two bikes.

The one I saw was on the left as you head down the dip, yellow, and firmly attached to a road sign.

Nothing in local paper or on website so hopefully all involved were ok. They normally like to report a fat-ac or serious injury to show how reckless we all are!

On the point of bikers without leathers, they are a death waiting to happen, they don't seem to realise what shock on that scale can do. I have picked one up who had no skin, muscle, nerves etc on the side he had slid on just looked straight at the bone, ended up being an above knee amputation. Another wasn't so lucky.

I think I remember being told by an RPU officer cop that it takes something like a seven second slide to go down to bone! yuck
