Repair of HGF?
Discussion
Ok,I'm finally having my HGF being repaired on my S2 K series engine,I'm also having a new cam belt fitted at the same time.
My car has been off the road for over a month now as I have been waiting to get this done, but I'm very interested as to how it will feel, perform after it's done, can anyone who's had this repair done shed any light into any differences they witnessed or does it just feel the same.

I would suspect you will not notice any difference. The only thing that might make a difference is a small hike in compression ratio from the skim ( but that maybe counteracted by the new headgasket), but you would have to have before and after figures on a dyno to see it. Some people think of it as a benefit to getting the head ported and maybe some cams changed, while it is on the bench.
