BBQ trouble, ORANGE flame

We just had dinner on the BBQ but could only use one burner as the other one is now burning Orange and smoky

any ideas how to fix? or is it new BBQ time

Can you take any of it apart? Try blasting carb cleaner at it

Problem is your a big gayer and your using gas instead of wood and charcoal!

If it's anything like a bunsen burner it needs more air for complete combustion, ie carbon turns to CO2 not C (soot)

Probably in need of a good clean out (oooer missus). Every spring I have to evict a couple of dozen snails and spiders from mine, sounds like you may have some in a place they shouldn't be.

Orange flame means not enough oxygen. Take the bunsen burner example above. Block off the air supply at the bottom, lazy orange sooty flame. Open up the air inlet, vigerous hot blue flame.

Years ago had the same problem,spider had built a web over the gauze on the air inlet.
