Autoroute shows the quickest route to be M6 to J15, onto A519 and then A41

How about Knutsford Services, I'll be there at 8.30 onwards
is that OK (about 30 Miles from Charnock Richard)

I'll be coming down the M6 from Preston in the Griff but am likely to be a few mins behind you so will see you at Cosford.
Re the route I'd wondered about the A519/A41 as a change from M'way but it is a few miles longer and probably not as quick as down the M6 to the A5 then west and then at the first (Gailey) roundabout left and down the A449 to the M54 (?) then to the A41 and south to Cosford. At 9.30 on a Sunday morning that shouldn't be busy I suppose so as it more M'way and shorter too by about 10 miles it should be quicker but maybe more boring!

what are you plans for the return route on sunday? times? and who's the furthest North ? I'm planning to return with the Oop North convoy that I came down with so far, but fancy the west side as an alternative - coming off the M6 at Kendal to go over the old A6 Shap road then onto Hartside Pass road home has its attractions...

There is nothing organised for the return trip. But there will be a few of us, obviously the ones in this thread, but there will also be tinks, chrischat, Kev (who doesn't post on here) + possibly one other.

Furthest North of this lot would be M6 J32 for Blackpool
