Soooooo Modnation on PS3.......

I loved playing it, I generally dislike mario kart and similar. Modnation was different, the customisation, the track builder (even in very limited mode) was amazing, the way your characters would taunt the opposition. It all came together in a pretty neat package, although I will admit one childish habit of mine was doing constant powerslides around the menu screen (the menu is essentially an online lobby where you drive to the different options and can also see lots of other people!) which was probably irritating to some!
I'd recommend it even for single player as it captures the multiplayed experience with the online very well. I'd want to take the lead just to hear the rest of them moan and complain!

Had it arrive from shopto yesterday. It's pretty much been on constant since it arrived.
What a brilliant game. So well made and thought out. The way the menus, online and modding are all linked is very clever. Very solid handling for a kart game, as good as anything else I've played.
The way they have handled the modding is spot on in my opinion. Simple enough for my 5 year old to knock up a decent character, kart and track but so much depth when you delve deeper into it.
It's by no means perfect though. The loading times are bloody long for this day an age, too long! Strangely though the online races were very quick to jump into????
All in all I give it a big thumbs up and cant wait to get home and have another play,got some track ideas I need to try out.
