Acoustic Garden Fencing

Has anybody had experience of acoustic garden fencing? Google throws up several suppliers that make fencing for industrial / motorway applications that also supply for domestic use.
We're in a road of 1930s detached houses all with mature gardens. The nature trees and conifers mask the noise effectively on one side but on the other we have inadvertently trimmed the conifers and now there is little in the way of a barrier between our garden and a garden a couple of doors down where four children have a habit of yelping and screaming.
Would an acoustic fence take the edge of the yelping sounds?
