I am not sure I would buy a game like this to be honest,

I will however buy the next GTA, any news on this at all? I presume they are making another one?

Yeah it would be good!
IV does nothing for me, but VC was amazing! It would be cracking to play it again, in fact I may have to dig it out for the 360...!

Yup. Same as above for me. IV does nothing for me and haven't completed it because of that.

But I loved Vice city and San andreas. I still fire them both up very often.

Just finished IV, really enjoyed it. Now just tidying up loose ends before i get the DLC.

Was a bit strange however that they had big areas like the theme park, golf driving range and skate park with bog all done in them etc.

Wish there were planes as well as helicopters.

SA was too big imo. the working out / getting fat thing was cool. Also loved the gang element as you could pick up people and go on a rampage.

Well Sony have done God of War 1 & 2 on blu ray in 720p With achivements etc, looks pretty good in a higher res, would love the orginal GTA's done like this with a better refresh rate. If you play the original you can see it ghosts quite a lot.

I reckon GTA would be far improved if the storyline was more dependent on what you did. e.g. if you were working for the Mafia and killed a load of their people (outside of a mission) then you'd fall out of favour with them and have to end up working for other people.

i.e. There would be multiple endings.

What I'd really like them to do is move out of the USA and do London, Tokyo or somewhere else.

+1

Id love if they released a GTA with the landscape of SA and the cars and graphics of IV.

Rockstar did GTA London 1969 way back in the day as a GTA 1 expansion pack... I'd love them to revisit GTA London 1969 as a 3D version in the same vein as IV

Or, an 80s GTA set in London would go down a storm... like a 3D Ashes to Ashes!

I hope they do a better job of optimising it next time. My PC can run Bad Company 2 on max detail settings very smoothly, but won't get anywhere near that on GTA IV. It has ridiculously poor frame rates at times.

Quite right. There seems to be a lot missing in 1V which could have been done better. Planes for one. And why why why take away parachutes. I used to love using jetpack in SA to get to the top of the highest buildings then basejumping. The tallest one (looks like Sears Tower with three needles on the top) you could basejump down the inside and fly out the bottom.

Also in 1V, skateboard parks, no ability to skateboard (although they are entertaining with a Sanchez), tennis courts but no ability to play tennis. You'd have thought little extras like that built in would really finish it off.

I was disappointed about those too, in SA it seemed like you could do anything, however trivial. The lack of planes and parachutes was a definite step back - but I can understand why they removed the planes, the map area is smaller and there's only one airport, so it would have been fairly pointless.

I hope they move away from the same old locations next time, I think London could be great.

I would really love to see an identical game engine to GTA IV in a war-themed game. Huge battlefields, tanks, jeeps, aircraft etc

You could follow orders and do missions or break away on an inglourious basterds type side track. You could muder, loot and rape your way across the land, running guns, selling drugs etc etc.

Good multiplayer possibilities too...

Ok ages since I played them, which one had the great airfield in the middle of the desert, the jet pack, jump jet and the casinos etc?

San Andreas.

I picked up Liberty City Stories when they brought it to PS2 after it first came out on PSP so the OP's idea might be decent

I have played these since the beginning on the PC and really like how they've developed, especially the black humour/radio stations/side missions.

I'd like them to do a UK version, set in London mostly but with the ability to go out in to a twee village or market-town and wreak havoc.

It would be great to trash the Vicarage before going on to waste gang members on the Croquet lawn, before heading back to London for a final confrontation with the Archbish of Canterbury.

Come on Rockstar make it happen!!
