Hi

Anyone got any experience of this? The grill element's packed up, but other oven functions are fine. Is it easy to replace the element? It's a John Lewis oven, and I can get a replacement for around £30, but if it means calling in a spark and it's going to cost hundreds maybe I should just buy a new oven. Thanks.

On our Neff oven, it was simply a case of undo a blanking plate, half a dozen screws and four wires . . . . . . a relatively easy DIY job smile

I have replaced oven elements before (not your model though) and it has just entailed undoing a couple of self-tappers and an electrical connection. Just make sure the electric supply is turned off before commencement. smile

I recently replaced the element in our fan oven, and was really straight forward.

I found videos on YouTube which gave basic instructions, which I found helpful to point me in the right direction.

I also had to replace the thermostat, which was again straight forward if you follow the youtube vids.
