Hi All.
Any body know if Avo shocks can be refurbished at a reasonable price, I am talking about the adjustable ones

IIRC Chris (Barkychoc) and Norm (Gerald-TVR) have both had this done, however Norm is likely to be off-line until next weekend, but I'm sure he'll answer your question then

Thanks for the reply, I think the small adjusters for the rebound are shot, they just spin round and round.

Is the knob going round and round?
There is I think a little grub screw that secures the knob to the shaft.

I have only had a set of bushes from AVO - they sent me a new set FOC.
AVO's don't get a lot of praise on here, but their service when I rang them was excellent.

Bushes are fine, they just look a bit tatty and both adjusters just spin round and round

Alan,
Dont be fooled by the appearence of the bushes, mine also looked fine until I removed the metal insert,the rubber and the poly had both shot through!

+1 fronts and rears

Rears maybe due to poor suspension design/geometry but fronts I put down to c p bushes !

ETA if you're talking to Avo can you ask them why my shocks squeek every time i go over a big bump ?

Hi All
Did a search on Avo Shocks and wow they have had a bad bashing, I sent a email to Protec and they have sent back a good price for 4 new ones. I don't think I will have the old Avo ones re furbished.
