Remove the vote from those on habitual benefits
Discussion
Should we consider this? If someone has been an habitual benefit claimant that has never contributed to society should they get the vote? Actually how about raising the minimum voting age to 25 and impose a requirement that you either have to have a degree or been working for a minimum of 4 years?

I've met some degree educated folks who are still spackers. And, this subject was done to death before.
OK decent degrees, so nothing with a BA for examplestigmundfreud said:

Please list the things you've actually done for your country that entitiles YOU to the vote.loltolhurst said:
why on earth would under 25s not get a vote?? + as said those on habitual benefits could not be arsed to vote anyway
because the danger is with 18 to say 21 year olds is the "fashionable" vote. I work with a lot of this age group and it was "oh we should like you know all vote liberal because of <insert some popularist s
te>".Tony*T3 said:

Maybe only let business owners vote too, and put the plebs in workhouses? Welcome to the Victorian age.
A time of dramatic economic growth that hugely improved people living standards and stronger family units than we see today. The Welfare state has huge negative consequences.Groober said:
A degree to be able to vote! That is the most stupid thing I have heard. What about all the Plumbers, Sparkies and countless other trades that contribute to this country. You think some spacktard with a micky mouse degree in Fashion and textiles should get the vote over them.
I do agree with your other point though.
Did I exclude anyone? No, I said either a degree or 4 years minimum work experience. Still, I guess you are a "suck through the teeth its gonna cost yer" builder type? I do agree with your other point though.
