This twin turbo thing's got out of hand...
Discussion
Check this out. It was a Callaway but this guy's decided on his own approach to a twin turbo setup by the looks of things - it's nothing like the Callaway setup now!

What can you do when you feel the need for speed?

Where is the best place for turbos on the C4, there doesn't seem to be an abundance of space anywhere round the engine?
I thought about installing a very small gas turbine with a bleed from the compressor acting as a turbocharger. Nearly as silly as the idea of strapping a 747 engine to the roof. Dream on...

This one's even madder. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when these guys are planning out where to put the components. Must come up against problem after problem...

I think it must be a "make your Corvette as hard to service as possible" competition!

Forget servicing - that guy has well over 1000BHP & he hasn't even changed the brakes or suspension!! Utter madness!
Yeah, that got me wondering as well. The guy must have a death wish.
All those links are good, very good, but these deserve to posted along side them:
<a href="http://www.supercars.net/garages/Murtaza/73v2.html">www.supercars.net/garages/Murtaza/73v2.html</a> - hp is insane, the tq is even more insane.
<a href="http://www.vettespeed.net/main.html">www.vettespeed.net/main.html</a> > click on 'about the stinger'. Can't really argue with the motives lol.
<a href="http://www.rpmotorsport.com/twinturbo/twinturbopricing.html">www.rpmotorsport.com/twinturbo/twinturbopricing.html</a>
Of course, there are plenty more Corvettes with insane power from turbos or superchargers.
As for where turbos are placed, their placed on the bottom-front or bottom-sides so they can't be seen because of packaging issues. Hard to service. The turbos aren't always viewable.

1300HP, 0-60 in 1.4s
I feel like the skinny guy at a weightlifters convention
Cripes what did I start with this thread, it's almost as if we've discovered the biggest porkie pie tellers in history.
I believe some of it but 0-60 in 1.4? (from the www.supercars.net/garages/Murtaza/73v2.html site) top speed 275 mph (for fecks sake)
Pretty soon we'll have a reply from someone who overtook an F-16!
Plus what the hell is going on with this plumbing, (www.rpmotorsport.com/twinturbo/twinturbopricing.html )it's almost as if they're purposely coming up with the most convoluted pipe bending imaginable. All of a sudden my car doesn't look complicated.
Back soon folks, I'm just building a twin supercharged, 8 turbo, NOS injected vette with 4 miles of exhaust pipe twisted into a ridiculously inconceivable giant coil spring shape.
Estimated performance: 15,000 HP, 0-60 in 0 seconds, top end Mach 3.
And I thought we were running out of fossil fuels...
I don't believe the 0-60mph stat, either. Top speed I can't judge.
BTW, the website has nothing to do with the integrity of the data just because it's from a 'fansite' , I think Jim Hall gave the same tq figure (don't know about 0-60). One of the LPE C5's did a 1.9sec 0-60 with less power.
Needless to say, the car will probably spin tires in every gear unless some serious provisions are made to get traction.
Didn't the Dodge Viper beat an F-16 in a straight line 1/4 mile race? The viper owners probably know the exact story.
We're running out of fossil fuels which sucks so we've got to make the most of them until they run out. I see you're making the most of it, Malc.
