Saddle Problems

Recently I have noticed an annoying problem on my bike. The saddle stays at the right hight, but it slips from side to side very easily. I have tried fully degreasing the seatpost, but to no avail. Any ideas what I can do to cure the problem?

Maybe "rough up" both the post and inside of the seat tube with coarse sandpaper to give the two surfaces something to bite on.

Also maybe change the seat clamp and pop a light coating of copperslip to stop it seizing up

Is it the seatpost rotating in the frame or the seatpost itself rotating? The post is normally just a tube with the saddle rail holding mechanism pressed into the top of it. I've had it before where the saddle rail holding part of the post has become lose in the seat post tube which makes it rotate.

Saddle rails worn or too small for the clamps or loose in the saddle.

Or you're running too small a frame and a ridiculously long seatpost thats not up to the job.
