Lol, The Squatter really has lost the plot hasn't he? The one person that can extend your tenancy.

I don't like brown either, but posting that article in the "news" section is pushing the definition I think.

1. It's from the daily mail, read a proper paper rather than a daily version of "closer".
2. It's from an un-named "source", and so therefore is probably made up.
3. See point 1.

In fairness to the Mail - this was reported on both BBC and Sky yesterday.

The Tory LibDem coalition wont happen, so Compo will swallow his hurt pride and side with the Squatter eventually, and El Gordo will happily sell out whatver he needs to not have to leave quite yet. Then he'll go "on health grouns" and Milipede or Harman will be PM, and then we will have another unelected PM as well as a Govt no one actually voted for.

I think it's quite funny that Brown said he was willing to consider electoral reform before the election, and as soon as he is put into a position that requires diplomacy and compromise, he flies off the handle and starts foot-stomping!

He's so inept in every area.

S3fella, as it's been pointed out countless times, you don't elect a PM...or even a party. You elect your MP.

Squatter has every right to be in there. What you described is exactly what will happen. Although I doubt Harman will get in! Milliband is a waster as well.

Brown may not be the PM we want, but he's the PM we need. Cameron has no back bone. With Brown it's pretty clear who is in charge and he is not to be messed with!

It has also been pointed out many times that people do vote for a candidate based on the Party beliefs and the Leader of the Party. Whilst we put a cross against the candidate specifically on a ballot paper, they are a representative of the Party and most vote for the Party rather than the actual individual candidate's policy issue beliefs.

As for with Brown, you know whos in charge..........I presume you mean Mandelson..? wink

Brown can't leave yet for the simple reason that if he does the Queen has to immediately appoint a prime minster who can command the support of a majority of the house... doing that before coalition talks are complete would be very likely to lead to a massive fk up.

It is Brown's duty to the country to stay on until these talks are complete.

The PM we need ? Bloody hilarious. Labour have failed on all the things that really matter. Even The Guardian want rid of him and the Labour party. You are deluded. Or you are Derek Draper.

Thankfully, for the majority of the country, your views have been exposed as a minority.

I have to wonder if some of these Labour supporters are just plain deluded. Half billion a day and The Squatter is "the PM we need" apparently.

Well actually - everyone's views have been exposed as a minority haven't they? Isn't that the problem?

I guess the difference is short term vs. long term. Long term that's where people have differing opinions.

Short term, much as I dislike him I don't see any alternative to Brown - as has been said, you need a Prime Minister.

You are completely correct here alfa. Mandy is definitely pulling all of the strings and has done an excellent job in helping Gordon the Moron stay in power up to this point and so be the 'owner' of the crushing loss they have just faced - rather than having him ousted earlier in the year and then having Mandy's new protege tarnished by the loss.

I take it you did mean Mandy didn't you, and not Gormless Winky.

You think that spanner would still support Brown after being kicked out? remeber he was only Labour because Lib dems also kicked him out and Conservatives rejected him.
