There's a big tree outside my bedroom window and the crows think it's hilarious so scream at each other from 04.30am.

How can I get rid? Am I allowed to shoot them with an air rifle? or would that make me a bad person?

Air rifle would be my suggestion.... the legalities are a differant matter.

Do you live in a built up area? If so it is illigal to fire an air rifle in your garden.

But to be honest, no body is going to know if you're using a silenced air rifle at 4.30am.

Rook pie is vile. I suspect added roadkill would improve itsmile

Crows are brilliant. Magpies too.

Both chase the pigeons and squirrels out of my garden.

Sounds like you have all the ingredients for a good meal in your garden!

It depends if you miss, and if so where the pellet ends up! Ideally if they are sat on a branch you want to shoot them so if you miss slightly the pellet hits the tree rather than next doors bathroom window!

Quite right, it's not. So long as the pellet does not leave the property.

Just hope that none of your nieghbours are greenie bird loving types. !st of April to the 1st September is considered as nesting season and ALL birds, chicks, egss and active nests are covered under this. Disturbing them or killing them can lead to a conviction and large fine if caught. Can't remember all the ins and outs of it but it does fk up a fair amount of treework.
Also rookeries may be protected all year round tho not sure of this. Just a warning.
