Ok, currently have a Worcester Bosch Highflow 4.5 floor standing boiler, which is 20 years old and wont go on forever.

A new boiler by the same company, either a Highflow 440 at £1500 or 550 at £1900 (based on internet prices) seems to be the replacment model for what I have.

Would it be relativley safe to assume the existing pipework should "hopefully" enable a pain free swap of new for old boiler? If so, what sort of price would I be looking at roughly to see this job complete?

Any registered installers care to give me a rough guide? (I was thinking anything between £600 - £1k maybe?)

Thanks
Matt

(I have asked 2 local installers to come and give me a price, but I'd like a rough figure in my head first)

The boiler will require a new flue or liner if it's in a chimney. It may require alterations to the pipework as it could be a gravity hot water system.

It vents straight outside to the wall its pushed up against currently, but I guess a new flue would be around £100 I guess?

Oh right! Brain not engaged at that time in the morning! Flue will most likely come with the boiler, but maybe not.

Highflows are combination boiler arn't they, if that is the case it shouldn't be too difficult to change.

Providing you have a drain within easy reach for the condensate pipework and you have the correct size gas pipework going to the boiler.

I know the Worcester Bosch CDi floor standing range have a condensate pump, pretty sure the highflows do aswell, can get you out of a pickle when it comes to find a drain!

Try and find an Accredited Installer to fit your Worcester Bosch, it will up your warranty to 5 years.
