Hi all,

I am pretty bored of my website now and I need some inspiration to get me going. I've looked through Google and other resource portals but either, all the websites are built with flash or not stylistic enough with css. So can anyone recommend some good photographer websites to look at that are built on css?

To be fair, scrolling a web page left to right or, right to left (should you get crazy) isn't really that hard is it.

Not my cup of tea design wise or photographically.

Damian, have a search back through this section I think there's a thread about inspiration/ ideas/ portfolios that lists lots of top automotive photographers incl a few off here.

The designer of that site was lazy, they should have allowed the user to scroll with the wheel on the mouse, two minute job.

I agree, it's a big usability flaw.

Not a wow website at all imho.

Pretty straight forward with jquery. One thing you need to do is specify in the css with total width of the container. I've put an example together to let you see. So, you have 10 pictures @ 1200px wide each, the container should be width:12000px in the css wink

Everything is wrong with tables! wink

ETA:
Your Logo/Title is slightly confusing, would look better Horizontally aligned with the text the right way round.

Tables are fine for tabular data, I see no tabular data?

Design wise, did you look at any of the links that were posted above? It's quite dull in my opinion, and the photos are pretty small on my 1920x1280 monitor. Also, site doesn't work on my iphone, do you know how many people use iphones/ipads to browse nowadays? Everything you did in flash can be done with jquery with relative ease. Also, using images for text doesn't help people find your site, I would strongly advise having all your content as text, helps with google indexing the site.

Sorry for being harsh, but you did ask wink

You have an "About Me" section but the content inside it is in the third person, surely it should be "About Us" in that case.
