Clegg stating that he won't require Proportional Representation to be a term of joining another party to Govern.

I expect he'll agree to anything to be involved in a coalition, once the horse trading starts. Then he can push for proportional representation in support of something later.

That is how I was looking at it.

I am also thinking that he is not ruling out working with the Tories at this point, at least that's how I understood his reply...

So anything to get a good sniff at power.

Why would the Lib Dems, who have a real chance to do something worthwhile, want to associate themselves with Labour? This could be remembered as the worst government in recent history, and I've have thought that the last thing Clegg would want to do is be remembered as the man who supported Nu Labour with his Lib-Lab Pact v2.0.
