Had the joy of blasting around in this 270ps twin-blower hatch for a few days last week, what a hoot. Took time one evening to grab a few shots using my light painting technique. There's a few more in my VW Golf R flickr set. Feedback welcome. Oh, the bold watermarking won't be to many tastes but it's a new approach to posting my stuff online.

Also managed a daylight shot, but it was just the one before the heavens opened.

It needs a bigger watermark... You can still see some of the car wink
(nice shots! maybe the pick up in the first one could be removed?)

Yeah, I know but I need to develop and maintain a web presence and seriously I had a look on a forum the other day and there's 10 or more users with one of my images as their avatar. This ain't going stop it but at least it'll lead back to me.

You're right. 2am you don't expect to meet anyone else but having shot a couple of images in that composition to nail the lighting suddenly the pick up pulls in and I CBA to recompose. I'll be removing the pick up in the final version.

Did you use a flash/light in that last pic?

Looks good mate, I prefer the rear tail light shot best of all. A bit of C+C, in the first shot you have that pick up in the distance. Might be worth shopping it out?

Thanks smile What's worked for me is picking a style and developing it. Understanding and getting the most from your equipment is also key - tune your camera the way you like it re contrast and saturation, for instance. Most of all, practice. Just do it again and again.

Damian, yeah there's a comment further up about the pick up, just being lazy with this posted version. Did you post any of your Uracco shots here?

Thank you for the advice Andy. I think it is still too early days for me to develop my own style sadly. I also would need a lot more kit and a bit of a camera/lens upgrade to achieve these sort of shots. Still, something to aim for. Loving your Lambo shoot as well. How are you getting these subjects? Just the appeal of them having top quality pictures of their pride and joy?

The pre boost torque convinced me it was one of their units with supercharger and turbo but in light of your comments and having scoured around a bit I can't find any mention of the super. Makes the engine's performance even more impressive, it really is strong low down.
