WTF is all this about? Are these peope living there, or on holidays. SOme allegedly are signing mutiple forms, presumably in other's names.

It's outrageous. I suspect the constituencies involved are not "Middle England" either!

WTF do we all have to put up with this crap.

He should have a vote.

UK Voting website said:
Every British citizen who has been registered to vote in the UK within the last 15 years is eligible to vote in the UK general election on 6 May 2010. The deadline for registering to vote or applying for a postal or proxy vote has now passed.
Go here

https://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/register_to_vote/bri...

Enter last postcode he lived at in the UK.

This produces a canned form that you send to the local council for that postcode. They then check the details against their electoral role and make sure you're elligible.

Once registered, you have 3 options to vote. By post, in person or by proxy. Each of those has its own form again which has to be checked again before you can "actually" vote.

Its a long drawn out process which I suspect puts a lot of expats off..But I'm registered and have voted...

No he doesn't. He went there in 1987 and has never voted in the UK.

Nothing you can do about it. They are Brits when they are here and Pakistanis when they are there. To them it is just one big community living in two countries and having the benefits that both offer; you know, Corruption, dishonesty, tribalism.

Mass immigration, worse thing to ever befall this country.

Understood, so basically those voting on behalf of others will simply put their preference instead of the preference of the person being voted for?

I have heard many a people discussing using the postal votes of people in their family that would not have been used otherwise. Its probably quite rife TBH.

Maybe one way of cutting out the type of postal fraud that is mentioned above is not to send them forms in blatantly obvious envelopes!

Nothing good has ever come out of that part of the world.

I'm not surprised certain parties want to send them all home.

How ironic.

For years we have gone to the Middle East, Asia and Africa and tried to bring them 'democracy' and a fairer electoral system (through money, bombs and 'diplomacy') and now these very same people are bringing their form of democracy over here and we are unwilling to do anything about it.
