power steering cap

anyone know where i can get a power steering cap to match the leven oil and petrol cap, i have looked on there web, but they don't seem to list one. Thanks.

We can supply a Power Steering Cap and also matching water cap. These are the same as the Tuscan engine caps. We use to supply only in Polished finish but due to demand/interest have recently made caps in the Anodised finish (and petrol caps to match) Please call for more details.

Just to give you an example my kickplates for the TVR were over £50, got the Mrs a pair for her MG from the owners club for Christmas...... £12 !!

Aye, but there are probably 40 million MGs in the world, and only 26 TVRs. So by the time you work out design time, programming the CNC machine, anodising, advertising, only to sell 10 of them; you have to rake in... er I mean price accordingly. I'm not condoning it, just saying that's how it is

Hi Simon,
Are you saying that the Tuscan engine caps will also fit 98-model Griffith 500 in lieu of the standard Audi/VW light blue plastic water (pressure) cap and Range Rover black plastic power steering cap? I already have your petrol & oil cap and have to say they look great .

What a crock of shite obviously from someone that just doesn't get whats involved in manufacturing, I can honestly say I am sat here surrounded by £1/2 million pounds worth of production machinery and tonnes of stainless steel. I am the MD of a sheet metal fabrication company and know exactly what goes into making Levens kick plates and how much the material costs, for your information the material they use is No.8 super mirror polished (optical quality) and is only avaliable from one UK supplier to that grade, they then have the logo etched into them from a master film (not a cheap process) and even the 3M VHB tape used is bloody expensive, add all that to the way the product is presented and supplied and IMO you get a bargin. To the degree that even though I have all the resources at my finger tips to make them myself I ordered a set for my own car from Leven and happily paid the asking price as it was cheaper than DIYing it, I would guess they have these made in fairly small batches and Taiwan is not an option for them. Lets face it without Leven there would be no after market market worth talking about because you certainly wouldn't get any obsolete car suport from the factory, they've made the market and IMO deserve to suceed.

Its all to do with the economy of scale TVR's are a niche market and as such Levens products are produced in small runs by small companies in the UK, if you own a mass produced cut and blow dry mobile like the MG then you're welcome to your £12 Indian or Chinese low quality kick plates if you however have spent a lot of money on the car you've always wanted then quality comes with a cost, so live with it.

I don't know chicks they just don't get it.

If that is deemed to be an educated opinion, well more fool you, so you are sat in a workshop with half a million pounds worth of equipment so that must be a CNC and a kettle!
As for the MG, it's about 30 years old and is the Mrs second car, not a cut and blow dry mobile I you would put it.
I have spent more money than most on vehicles especially my TVR including Leven products so it's not a case of scrimping, it's a genuine fact that a premium is added to products relating to higher end vehicles, why is it some retailers would sell side repeaters sell with TVR specialists for up to £30 a pair when the same 'Ford fake' product is available elsewhere for only £6 a pair.
