I agree but suspect that the EUSSR will soon overturn it

Yup, of course it's common sense for the government to regulate what you wear. It's really essential that politicians interfere with your clothing.

Place your bets on which Muslim group is going to be first with the death threats to the Belgian law makers.

I'd rather they bombed them TBH.

This is not good. How long will it take for people to realise that they are going for muslim women now but it will be us later on. What possible reason is there for protecting their right of religion and freedom of speech then getting all stroppy over a headscarf ? Beggars belief really.

It's very simple. Freedom is good so long as *we* can do what we like, anything else should be banned...

Threads like this make me kinda happy we don't have a libertarian government. Most of the populace, frankly, don't deserve it.

Not an argument for banning it.

I thought that the government already regulates clothing.

Would it be legal, in public, to wear a pair of trousers that had the crutch cut out, and no underwear?

When in Rome ...etc.

Let them do it. But I demand equality to wear a balaclava wherever I like.

No positive discrimination please. smile

They do regulate what you wear now.

Perhaps you are just unobservant.

No votes against it.

I prefer to speak with someone I can see, but I like the freedom that gives a woman a choice.

Belgians can do what they wish in Belgium as far as I am concerned.

Yes there is.

If you went into a petrol station with a helmet on, they would tell you to take it off, but if you have a tea towel on your head, thats suddenly fine.

You don't know who they are, if there even female, or what the hell they have under there ninja outfits.

If you want to dress like that, fk off back to where you came from.
If you went to a muslim country, how long do you think you would last if you started completly disrespecting the culture of the country and started building churches/synagogue/what ever left right and center.

what is the point in the ninja outfit anyway? All i can see is that muslim countries are generally in hot, sunny places, where it would make sense to cover your skin. In England, its not that sunny, so there is no need for it.
