washing machine fault.

Hi ive got a aeg lavamat 16810 washer-dryer thats developed a fault today. When i switch it on to run its cycle it counts down from 54 minutes to 53 then 52 then to 3 minutes its drain the soap powder out then does a light spin then stops as if its run a full cycle.Ive googled but found nothing and ive read the instruction manual.
